Terms and Conditions

Last updated: 24 October 2026

These terms apply to your use of this website, our dashboard, and the products and services supplied by ControlaSola (ABN [ABN 00 000 000 000]) ("we", "us"). By using the website, creating an account or buying from us, you agree to them.

1. Our products and services

We supply ControlaSola and related online services, including a customer dashboard that displays energy data from your device ("the Service"). Descriptions, images and specifications are as accurate as we can make them but may change as products are improved.

2. Your account

  • You must provide accurate information and keep your login details secure.
  • You are responsible for activity under your account. Tell us promptly if you suspect unauthorised use.
  • We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms or are used unlawfully.

3. Orders, prices and payment

Prices are in Australian dollars and include GST unless stated otherwise. An order is accepted when we confirm it or dispatch the goods. We may cancel an order if a product is unavailable or a price was shown in error, and will refund anything you have paid for it.

4. Delivery

Delivery times are estimates only. Risk in the goods passes to you on delivery.

5. Installation and safety

Important: our products connect to mains-powered equipment such as hot water elements and pool pumps. All installation, wiring and electrical work must be carried out by a licensed electrician in accordance with applicable Australian standards and local regulations. Do not open or modify the product yourself.

You are responsible for making sure the product is suitable for, and compatible with, your equipment and installation.

6. Savings, estimates and data accuracy

The dashboard, cost estimates and any simulated or comparison figures are provided for information only. They depend on your tariffs, usage, weather, equipment and settings, so we cannot guarantee particular savings or results. Data may occasionally be delayed, incomplete or contain errors, and should not be relied on for billing or other critical decisions.

7. Service availability

We aim to keep the Service available, but it may be interrupted for maintenance, internet or power outages, or reasons outside our control. Product features may depend on your home internet connection.

8. Acceptable use

You must not misuse the website or Service, attempt to gain unauthorised access, interfere with other users' data or our systems, or use the Service for unlawful purposes.

9. Intellectual property

All content, software, firmware, graphics and trade marks on this website and in our products belong to us or our licensors. You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use them for their intended purpose. You must not copy, reverse engineer or resell them except as permitted by law.

10. Privacy

We handle personal information as set out in our Privacy Policy.

11. Consumer guarantees and warranty

Our goods and services come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.

[Optional: describe any additional voluntary warranty here, e.g. "We also offer a 12-month warranty against defects in materials and workmanship." This warranty is in addition to your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.]

12. Returns and refunds

[Describe your change-of-mind policy, if any, and how to arrange a return.] Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, including for faulty goods.

13. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, and subject to section 11, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss (including lost savings, lost profit or loss of data), and our total liability for any claim relating to the Service or a product is limited, at our option, to resupplying the goods or services or paying the cost of having them resupplied.

14. Changes and termination

We may update these terms or the Service from time to time; the current version will be on this page. Continued use after a change means you accept it. You may close your account at any time by contacting us.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of [State, e.g. Queensland], Australia, and you and we submit to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of that State and the Commonwealth.
